The Dynamos JFC Soccer School - launching April 3rd 2008: Book Now!
About the Soccer School Our 2008 Soccer School launched on Thursday 3rd April opposite South Hill Park in Birch Hill, Bracknell and offers weekly coaching sessions for boys and girls aged between 6 and 10 years old, irrespective of their ability. Children attending the School enjoy learning and developing ball skills and then take part in small sided games, all of which are conducted in safe and structured, professionally-led sessions. The children are certain to gain in confidence, improve in ability and make new friends. Achievements are recognised through regular skills assessments sessions and the opportunity will exist for those who wish to continue their training with Dynamos to stay and train with the Club throughout the summer and then be considered for team members from September - ready for the start of the 2008 / 2009 season. Quality and Safety Dynamos JFC is a club steeped in local history - it stretches back to 1976 when it was formed in association with Sperrys, a major business employer in the town. Since then, the Club has developed a reputation for offering its members not simply the opportunity to play football, but also to keep fit and have some fun along the way. Our Managers are friendly, approachable and professional. They hold FA qualified, meaning that they have attended and passed the necessary coaching courses to lead the Soccer School sessions. They have been CRB checked and have attended first aid and child protection workshops. All activities are undertaken with the physical safety and well-being of the children being of paramount importance The Managers are assisted by Young Leaders from local schools in Bracknell. Currently, we are working with Ranelagh and Easthampstead Park. The Soccer School supports the FA's beliefs that football can have a powerful positive influence on children and young people. But that means everyone involved in football must take on the responsibility of looking after those children who want to play the game. It's imperative that we do everything we can to ensure that children can enjoy the game without abuse of any kind Course content The sessions include warm-ups, stretching, skills sessions (speed, agility, quickness, control, dribbling, basic turns, passing, awareness, positioning, tackling, finishing etc), small sided games, fun competitions and chill downs. Each child is provided with a drink at the end of their session - courtesy of our community sponsor, the Sandhurst branch of Waitrose, who contributed enough for a great deal of new equipment to be purchase, so "thank you" to them! What to bring Please ensure that the children come to the Soccer School with:
How much it costs The first session will be free to any boy or girl and each subsequent session will be just £2.00. Naturally, if a child does not want to finish the full 10 weeks, or decides to join half-way through, that's fine. We want to offer everyone involved the chance to experience football - if it's not for them, that's OK!
